AWS Graviton Processor
Delivering the highest performance and cost savings for your cloud workloads running on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2).
What is AWS Graviton Processor?
AWS Graviton is a series of server processors that AWS released. They’re custom built by AWS using 64-bit ARM architecture with the goal of offering better performance across EC2 instances versus competitors.
The Graviton family is for customers of its Amazon EC2 virtual machine, instances that require high performance at a cost efficient price point. The first generation AWS Graviton processors featured custom silicon and 64-bit Neoverse cores.
Purpose:
AWS Graviton processors deliver a major leap in instances providing the best price performance for workloads in Amazon EC2.
AWS Graviton supports general purpose use cases, burstable use cases, compute-optimized use cases, memory-optimized use cases, and storage use cases. Also, it can be used for accelerated compute workloads such as application servers and microservices.
Moreover it can be used for high-performance compute (HPC), Machine Learning, gaming, in-memory caching, and more.
